Hi Guys it’s Dan Barrett here from BuilderallHacks.com.
In today’s video I’m going to show you how to add the Facebook Pixel To Builderall. I’ll also be adding the Google Analytics tracking code too.
To complete this project you’re going to need the following items
- A Builderall Account
- Pixel Perfect Website Builder
- A Facebook Business Account
- A Google Analytics Account
- Facebook Pixel Helper Chrome Extension
- Google Tag Assistant Chrome Extension
- A Builderall Account
How to add the Facebook Pixel To Builderall
First of all login to your Builderall account and navigate to the Pixel Perfect site builder section.
Choose the website you’d like to add the tracking to. In this case I’m going to choose this particular website. It’s just a basic landing page, I’ve already opened it up in the editor.
Now go to your layout and then click the little gear icon at the top.
Once you click the gear icon you’ll see two script areas. One named Facebook Pixel Script and one named Analytics Script, this is where you’re going to place your tracking code. But first we need to get the code. How to add the facebook pixel to builderall
To add the Facebook pixel script go to business.facebook.com if you haven’t already got an account then create a new account. Now login to your Business.facebbok.com account and go to the events manager.
In the events manager you can create a new pixel or use an existing pixel. If your not familiar with using Facebook pixels then I suggest you create and use a new one.
Click add new data source and then choose Facebook pixel, then fill in the details and then click continue. I’ve already got a pixel that I’m going to use so I won’t create another one.
If you creating a pixel for the first time this is the same instructions, you want to manually add the pixel to the website, so select that and copy
the code, go back to your website and paste it into the Facebook pixel script area.
Once you’ve added the script save and then save again and then save again.
To add the Google analytics simply repeat the above process but this time go to https://analytics.google.com/analytics/web/ to get the tracking script for the website. If you have a Gmail account you can login to Google Analytics using the same credentials.
Once you’re logged in either create a new account property or navigate to an existing property account.
How To Add The Facebook Pixel To Builderall – Testing
Once you have the tracking code installed for both Facebook and Google all that’s left is to test them to make sure they are firing.
Testing is easily done with the help of two Google chrome extensions
Click the links above to download and install the extensions to your browser.
Once installed open your browser and navigate to homepage, landing page or website which you’ve added the tracking code to. Then check the toolbar for the extensions and click them to confirm the pixels are firing.
If they are working okay you’ll get information of the page you’re on and referrer information amongst other things.
